March 20-24th

 Hi Room 4 Families,

We had a full week of learning and happily welcomed Spring on Monday! 

We were able to enjoy plenty of time outside, which helps us regulate our emotions throughout the school day. We are excited for each community walk we are lucky enough to go on. This week we visited a couple of Free Little Library book stands in th Southwood Community. Some of us chose some great books to take home and read. 

This week we continued to split in our reading groups. We are all working hard on our targeted skills such as decoding CVC words, learning about silent 'e' words, learning new vocabulary in books we read and building our comprehension. 

We started our Animal Research slideshow in our Google classroom this week. This was a new skill for some of us. We all did an excellent job. We practiced our typing skills, learned how to add images and videos to complement our writing. We are excited to share our work and present to the class after Spring Break.
