March 6-10

Hi Room 4 Families! Just wanted to start by saying thank you to families for taking the time to attend conferences. It was great to connect both in person and online to share the wonderful progress your child is making in all areas of their learning! Thank you for your continued support. This upcoming week the students of Room 4 will be performing in the Spring Concert. They are very excited to present what they have been working very hard on in Music with Ms. Dafoe. You should drop your child off at Room 4, at 5:30 on Wednesday night. The performance will begin at 6.00pm. If possible, please have your child wear orange. If not, black or white clothing will work too. 

Room 4 students started their animal research this week. They have just begun the introduction for their written report. We worked on engaging ways to 'hook' our readers so that they want to read more. This will continue to be a focus next week. When completed, We will have the opportunity to read our reports aloud to the class to develop our oral skills and to share our learning with classmates. 

I can practice my multiplication skills through games. 

I can write about topics discussed in class.

Next week, we will have some special fun as we recognize St. Patrick's Day and our little leprechaun friends! This will include creative activities in math, reading, writing and art.
