June 12-16

 Hi Room 4 Families!

We had a lovely week in Room 4. Although we had some rain, we happily welcomed it as we knew that it would help the plants, animals, and all of the forest fires.

We finished our learning on the water cycle and water conservation. We each completed our Google Slides on Saving Water. We utilized the website Pebble Go to find the information necessary to complete this task. We learned to copy and paste text from one document to another, which we found very helpful!

When it was not raining and the air quality was okay, we started our mornings with an outside energizer. This allows us to start the school day regulated and ready to learn.

We read the book, Being Frank. We discussed and role-played how we should respond to people in different situations. Sometimes we need to "Think It" and not "Say it".

We also worked on creating a special, personalized card and gift for a special person in our lives as Father's Day is coming up this weekend. We did our best work and hope the receiver enjoys their special gift.

We cannot believe that there is only 9 days of school left! We have an Activity Day coming up on the last day of school and our Grade 6 friends have their farewell.

Next week, we will continue our literacy and numeracy groups with some fun hands-on activities!

** Friendly Reminder: We will be taking community walks daily (provided the weather cooperates).

Important Dates:

June 23- Stampede Theme Day

June 28- Grade 6 Farewell (Gr. 6 Students Bowling in the AM- Field Trip forms will be sent home next week)

June 29- Last Day of School
